Eight decades ago, my grandfather, Sheikh Mostafa Bin Abdullatif, had a vision of the future in terms of independence, prosperity, and creation of a productive legacy for future generations. His goal was to build a business that would not only become successful for his family but also deliver genuine value to society, based on strong principles of fairness, accountability, and moral integrity.

Sheikh Mostafa, being deeply rooted in his faith and having an unshakeable devotion to his family, was convinced about the utter necessity of family unity and the lasting value of maintaining traditions through the centuries. His work extended beyond the demands of business; it was deliberately dedicated to establishing a meaningful legacy on which he hoped his children and his descendants and generations to be born would take and follow not only him but also adhere to the resilience, the moral values, and the systems based on principles that he was leaving behind.

Alhamdulillah, the principles he imparted still influence our business practices — yesterday, today, and, Inshallah, for years to follow. Our corporate culture, organizational structure, and strategic outlook still remain firmly based on this initial philosophy.

Our Story

Sheikh Mostafa embarked on this modestly at the start of the 20th century, foraying into entrepreneurial activities in Dubai and Bahrain. The firm’s initial activities involved trading in precious gemstones and especially pearls before diversifying its activities into the sale of basic commodities such as rice, wheat, and general trading. By the early 1960s, the firm diversified into real estate development, a sector that forms an integral component of our success
